Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Child Care Consultant to join our team. This role involves monitoring and mentoring Family Day Home Educators. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting early learning and childcare, children's development and possess excellent communication skills. Responsibilities

- Assist families in selecting appropriate child care services that meet their needs and preferences
- Monitor and mentor Family Day Home Educators
- Offer guidance on child development milestones and best practices for early learning and child care
- Communicate with parents to understand their concerns and answer questions
- Maintain accurate records of monitoring visits, communication with Educators and parents
- Collaborate with Family Day Home Educators to ensure the Alberta Family Day Home Standards are met




- Promote our services through community outreach and educational events
- Stay informed with the current Child Care Licensing Regulations and Family Day Home Standards

Experience

- Level 3 Child Care Staff Certification
- Prior Day Home experience an asset
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with families, Family Day Home Educators, and colleagues.
- Ability to listen empathetically and provide tailored advice based on individual needs
- Knowledge of child development and best practices in Early Learning and Child Care
- Computer knowledge
- Valid Driver's License and Insurance (must have a vehicle)
- CPR and First Aid Certification

Pay: $21.00-$22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
