Pharmacy Manager – Community Pharmacy

Location: Downtown Vancouver, BC

Compensation: $65–$75 per hour, based on experience

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and patient-focused Pharmacy Manager to lead our independent community pharmacy in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. Our pharmacy has a low daily prescription volume of approximately 30–60 prescriptions, offering an opportunity to grow and provide personalized patient care while overseeing day-to-day operations and developing clinical services.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care while supporting pharmacy growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily operations in an independent community pharmacy with a prescription volume of approximately 50–60 prescriptions per day.
- Ensure safe, accurate, and efficient prescription processing and dispensing.
- Maintain compliance with applicable provincial and federal pharmacy regulations and professional practice standards.
- Supervise, lead, and support pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and assistants.
- Provide patient counselling, medication reviews, prescription assessments, and other clinical pharmacy services.
- Develop and expand clinical services to improve patient outcomes and support pharmacy growth.
- Manage inventory, purchasing, and medication supplies while minimizing waste.
- Monitor pharmacy performance, operational efficiency, and financial objectives.
- Build strong relationships with patients, healthcare professionals, prescribers, and community partners.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records, documentation, and quality assurance procedures.
- Promote a positive, team-oriented, and patient-centred workplace culture.

Qualifications and Requirements

- B.Sc.Pharm or PharmD degree.




- Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (CPBC).
- Current authorization/training to provide OAT services in BC.
- Injection certification.
- Previous community pharmacy experience; management or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of prescription processing, medication management, and pharmacy regulations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage daily pharmacy workflow efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Experience delivering or developing clinical pharmacy services is an asset.
- Commitment to patient safety, professional ethics, and quality care.

Compensation and Benefits

- Competitive hourly compensation: $65–$75 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
