As a Learning Assistant, you will work with students from Kindergarten to Grade 8. Your responsibilities include implementing strategies from educators and assisting students with emotional, behavioral, and medical needs. Collaborate with teachers during planning sessions and actively engage in promoting student success within a safe and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist students per individualized plans and medical needs
• Implement teacher-directed strategies for learning
• Record observations on behavioral challenges
• Participate in collaborative student planning meetings
• Provide support in routine personal care activities
Requirements:
• Educational Assistant Certificate or related field
• Minimum one year experience with challenging behaviors
• Training in behavior de-escalation or willingness to learn
• CPR/First Aid certification is an asset
• Robust communication and multi-tasking skills
