Responsibilities:
This role goes beyond traditional driving. As a Class 1, 3 or 5 Delivery Truck Driver, you will be responsible for:
* Operating automatic trucks with power tailgate/railgate for direct store delivery.
* Loading trucks in the warehouse before departure.
* Conducting safe and efficient deliveries and pickups following designated routes.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers on each route to understand and address their needs.
* Performing pre and post-trip inspections to ensure the safety and functionality of company-owned vehicles.
* Assisting with product and warehouse security.
* Physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting (up to 50lbs). Available Shift(s):Full-Time: 40 hours per week, starting at 7:00 am.4 Shifts x 10 Hours
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Valid Class 1, 3 or 5 License.* Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience required.* Recent and satisfactory driver abstract.
* Safety shoes (steel-toed boots).
* Ability to pass a criminal record check.
* Valid proof of SIN upon hire.
* Familiarity with Vancouver Island is an asset, given the local delivery focus.
