Buffalo Trail Public Schools seeks an Educational Sign Language Interpreter to assist a Kindergarten student at Mannville School during the 2026–2027 school year. This role promotes student success through qualified interpreting services in classrooms, activities, and events. You will play a critical role in facilitating communication among students, teachers, and families in an inclusive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate communication using the student’s Individual Support Plan
• Support participation in learning and extracurricular activities




• Collaborate with teachers and educational staff regularly
• Review content and prepare for interpreting assignments
• Educate the community on the interpreter’s role
Requirements:
• Graduation from an ASL-English Interpreting Program
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Minimum one year of interpreting experience preferred
• Knowledge of deaf education and adaptation of signing styles
• Member of CASLI or relevant affiliate an asset
