Our client in the natural resources sector is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for a 12-month contract to support the month-end close, financial reporting, and accounting processes. The role will require working in Toronto, 1 to 2 days a week. Job#:

Key Responsibilities

- Lead month-end and periodic consolidation activities across multiple business units, ensuring results are accurate, timely, and well supported.
- Prepare financial reporting packages.
- Review intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries.
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end working papers.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Coordinate annual audit requirements and support external auditors.
- Assist with consolidated financial reporting, intercompany reconciliations, and elimination entries.
- Prepare financial analysis, reporting packages, and variance analysis for senior leadership.
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate accounting and reporting processes.
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of NetSuite, Salesforce, reporting platforms, and finance data systems.
- Assist with business intelligence, data analytics, and AI-enabled reporting initiatives.

Qualifications

- CPA designation or close to designated.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting and consolidated financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP systems
- Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools is an asset.
