The Role

Reporting to the Administration Manager, this internship offers the perfect opportunity for accounting students to gain hands-on experience with real-world tasks like bookkeeping, accounts payable & receivable, and corporate tax preparation. You'll develop practical financial skills through bank statement reconciliation and financial reporting, while collaborating with different departments to showcase your communication and adaptability. We’re looking for a responsible and accurate individual with a keen eye for detail. You'll be a champion of proactive communication and possess a solid understanding of core accounting principles.

Tasks the Accounting Intern may be responsible for assisting with can include but not be limited to the following :

- Bookkeeping.
- Accounts payable.
- Accounts receivable




- Corporate tax preparation.
- Bank statement reconciliation.
- Data entry.
- Cross training in other departments as deemed necessary.

The Accounting Intern will demonstrate the following skills :

- Computer skills: experienced with Microsoft office products, and ability to learn new systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Proactive and effective problem solving.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently.

Requirements :

- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary study program with proof of enrollment. :

- Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have been granted refugee status to qualify for internship funding. :

- Local residence to the Edmonton area.

- Able to engage with a computer screen for long periods of time.

- Able to sit for long periods of time.

- Full vaccination against Covid-19 before entering our facility.

Job Type : Internship / Co-op Contract length: 4 months

Salary : From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
