Overview We are excited to announce an opening for a dynamic and energetic Tower Operator/Internal Service Advisor to join our team for a 12-month maternity leave contract.

This crucial position plays a key role in overseeing daily operations at our dealership while providing exceptional customer service. As the Tower Operator/Internal Service Advisor, you will ensure the smooth functioning of various dealership processes, manage service appointments, and act as the primary agent within our Service Department. You will be responsible for coordinating service workflows, communicating with technicians, and keeping advisors informed throughout the day.

Responsibilities

- Dispatch repair orders to technicians based on skill level, availability, and job priority
- Monitor technician productivity, efficiency, and workflow throughout the day
- Review repair orders for accuracy, clarity, and completeness before dispatch
- Coordinate with Service Advisors to clarify concerns, updates, and timelines
- Track job status and reassign work as needed to meet promised delivery times
- Assist in identifying workflow bottlenecks and recommend process improvements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shop dispatch system
- Open, manage, and close internal repair orders (ROs) for new and used vehicle inventory
- Coordinate vehicle reconditioning and internal repairs with technicians and shop foreman
- Communicate repair needs, timelines, and costs with Sales,



Used Car, and Management teams
- Ensure all internal work is properly authorized and documented
- Monitor repair progress to meet inventory turn and delivery deadlines
- Verify technician notes, labour times, and parts usage for accuracy
- Ensure warranty and internal repairs comply with manufacturer and dealership policies
- Maintain accurate records of internal repair costs and reconditioning expenses
- Prioritize internal work alongside customer pay and warranty work as directed

Requirements :

- Background in auto service management.
- Familiarity with CDK is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate information clearly.
- Robust organization and multitasking abilities
- Experience in automotive specialties is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
