The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing full cycle accounting functions including preparation of financial reports for several Company-operated stores.

Responsibilities:

Accounting – Company Stores

- Responsible for full cycle accounting for several company operated stores (A/P, Financial Reporting)
- Essential to understand Financial Statements and full cycle accounting
- Prepare and process month-end and year-end closing activities in accordance with given timelines.
- Import, reconcile,



and validate sales and other Store data within the accounting system (NetSuite)
- Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and maintain supporting schedules.
- Review accounting transactions, reports, investigate variances, and provide explanations for unusual activity.
- Maintain the general ledger and support documentation for assigned Company operated stores.
- Receive, review, and process financial and operational materials submitted by company-operated stores.
- Work with team and Operations to ensure accurate presentation of financial activity.
- Provide Supporting documentation for annual audits of Company -operated stores.
- Organize and box accounting records for secure storage and retrieval.
- Maintain store year end information including fiscal year-end dates and statement tracking.
- Review, scan, and digitally file financial statements and supporting documents received from franchise partners.
- Validate and enter Financial Statement information received into FDS

Other Duties

- Assist with Business license applications / renewals for Quebec company operated stores.
- Set up / close utilities, security and other vendor accounts for new/transferred stores.
- Provide Bookkeeping Training in French to new franchise partners.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

- Minimum two (2) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Experience performing full-cycle accounting and financial statement preparation.
- Ability to understand and interpret financial statements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word,
