Job Overview

HAFI Contracting Group is looking for a skilled and reliable Renovation Specialist who can work independently and as part of a team on a variety of renovation and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Tiling — floor and wall tile installation, backsplashes, shower systems, waterproofing and grouting.
- Demolition — selective demolition and removal of drywall, flooring, cabinets, fixtures and other materials.
- Cabinetry — cabinet installation, adjustments, hardware installation, trim and finishing.
- Framing — wood framing, partition walls, bulkheads, soffits and general framing.
- Drywall — installation, repairs, taping, mudding and finishing.
- Flooring — laminate, vinyl plank, engineered hardwood and other flooring installations.
- Finish Carpentry — baseboards, casing, crown moulding, door trim and other finish work.
- Renovations — kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions and general residential renovations.
- Painting — interior preparation and painting as required.
- Assist with general construction tasks and maintain a clean, organized and safe worksite.
- Read and follow drawings, measurements and project specifications.




- Complete work to a high standard of quality and workmanship.

Requirements

- Minimum 3 years of hands-on renovation/construction experience preferred.
- Strong skills in several of: tiling, cabinetry, framing, flooring, finish carpentry, drywall, demolition, and general renovations.
- Ability to measure accurately and work from drawings or specifications.
- Good understanding of construction materials, tools and installation methods.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must have your own basic hand tools.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation is an asset.
