Position: Preventative Maintenance Technician Level 1
Location: Goose Bay
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00 hourly, depending on experience

As a key member of the Service team, the Preventative Maintenance Technician Level 1 plays a vital role in keeping our rental fleet and customer equipment operating safely, reliably, and effectively.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Complete cleaning, washing and routine maintenance of construction equipment;
- Complete quality assurance inspections on equipment;
- Testing and operation of construction equipment, including, but not limited to, assessment of damages;
- Perform preventative maintenance on construction equipment, including, but not limited to,



maintaining and servicing rental equipment, oil and filter changes;
- Complete required documentation and data entry;
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work area, shop and branch;
- Load and unload customer rental equipment when required;
- Maintain a safe working environment;
- Assisting other technicians as needed;
- Follow all Health and Safety policies, while maintaining s safe work environment;
- Other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

- Mechanical Experience: Knowledge of basic mechanical principles and experience doing preventative maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter changes, breaks, lines etc.
- Apprentice Mindset: A genuine interest in learning and developing new skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team environment with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and work with minimal supervision.
- Independent Worker: Ability to work independently with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Endurance: Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly up to 50lbs.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel.) Experience with Systematics and labor tracking systems would be an asset.
- Safety Focused: A strong commitment to safe work practices, environmental responsibility, and Battlefield’s health and safety policies.
- Customer Service Oriented: Excellent communication skills and a knack for making customers feel valued.
- Experience Operating Forklifts
- A technical understanding of CAT equipment would be considered an asset.
- Flexibility to support on‑call schedules and adapt to business demands.
- Ownership of personal tools
