About the Team

As a Senior Associate on Wealthsimple's Treasury Cash Management team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring optimal cash flow management and operational efficiency. You'll manage daily payment processing operations, monitor balances across accounts, and develop immediate and short-term cash flow forecasts that drive liquidity and revenue optimization decisions.

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to

- Process and validate daily payment transactions across multiple channels

- Manage journal entries with precision and timeliness

- Monitor and maintain target balance thresholds across banking relationships

- Develop and maintain short term cash flow forecasts

- Optimize liquidity positions to maximize financial returns

- Communicate cash position updates to relevant stakeholders

- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions

- Analyze patterns in cash movements and highlight anomalies





- Support treasury operations during high-volume periods

Skills you’ll bring

- Extreme attention to detail with strong data verification instincts

- Understanding of brokerage operations and settlement processes

- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments

- Adaptability to quickly pivot between tasks and processes as priorities shift

- Exceptional organizational skills and structured approach to work

- Working knowledge of AI tools for data analysis and process optimization

- Proficiency in identifying data anomalies and outliers in large datasets

- Strong analytical capabilities to understand numerical relationships

- Independent problem-solving skills with solution-oriented mindset

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Experience with treasury management systems and banking platforms

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field

Preferred Qualifications

- 2-3 years minimum in cash management or payment processing experience

- Experience in fintech or digital banking environments

- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for financial transactions

- Familiarity with SQL or other data query languages





- Experience with process automation tools

- Understanding of settlement risk and liquidity management principles
