Position Title: Social Worker Clinical Specialist or Registered Counselling Therapist

Status: Full Time and Part Time Hours available

Are you a Registered Counselling Therapist or Registered Social Worker (MSW) who is passionate about providing high-quality, evidence-informed mental health care? We are seeking a clinician who values collaboration and is interested in contributing to an integrated, multidisciplinary healthcare environment. In this role, you will support the delivery of stepped-care mental health services to diverse populations, including MVA clients and military Veterans who may benefit from specialized psychosocial interventions. Your Day-to-Day

- Provide clients, primarily military veterans, with goal-focused psychotherapy to address mental health and psychosocial problems that are barriers to better health and family/community engagement.
- Provide veteran clients with social work assessments and social work interventions in the client’s social milieu in order to improve social and community functioning.
- Utilize a primarily cognitive-behavioral approach to intervention based on an overall client-centered philosophy.
- Provide group psychoeducational services.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences to discuss clients’ treatment plan and goals, progress, and any barriers to functional goals.
- Deliver quality reporting and effective communication with all stakeholders.

What You Bring to the Team:

Required Qualifications

- Registered with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers as an MSW Clinical specialist (formerly known as Private Practitioner);
- Registered Counselling Therapist registered with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists,
- Minimum Master’s Degree in a counselling-related field such as Counselling, Psychology, or Social Work.
