Support meal service and kitchen operations at The Salvation Army’s Adult Day Services as a Kitchen Aid. This part-time role emphasizes food safety, sanitation, and respectful interactions with program participants.
As a Kitchen Aid, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of the kitchen and dining areas. Your tasks will include meal service preparation, dishwashing, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for participants. Collaborate closely with the Adult Day Services team to ensure meals are organized and efficiently served.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare the dining area for lunch service
• Assist with meal service organization and preparation
• Monitor and document food temperatures
• Clean and sanitize dining tables after service
• Collect, wash, and return kitchen equipment
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Current Secure Food Handling certification required
• Previous food service or kitchen experience is an asset
• Attention to cleanliness and detail
• Ability to lift and move 10-19 kg
