Empower residents at Optima Living as a Health Care Aide, delivering compassionate care in a supportive environment. This role focuses on assisting with daily living activities and nurturing resident well-being.
Reporting to the Director of Care, you will work alongside Registered Nurses or Licensed Practical Nurses. Your responsibilities include providing person-centered care, aiding in mobility, and maintaining residents' dignity during transitions. The ideal candidate brings a commitment to teamwork and strong communication skills, enhancing the lives of seniors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing and dressing
• Support mobility and transfers for resident safety
• Administer medication and document changes accurately




• Help with move ins, palliative care, and end-of-life assistance
• Contribute to recreational activities alongside the Recreation Manager
Requirements:
• Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide program
• Current registration with BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
• Certification in CPR and First Aid
• Food Secure certification is an asset
• Experience in residential care preferred
