Aerotek is hiring Welders for a 6 month project located in Langley BC

Job Description

- This 6 month project will be mainly multi pass fillet welds on structural beams
- Set up, adjust and shut down welding equipment as necessary
- Responsible for Flux Core and metal core welding
- Follow weld symbols on drawings and use written or verbal instructions as directed
- Inspect completed welds to ensure that they meet company and customer specifications

Must Have:

- Minimum 1+ years of FCAW Welding experience
- Ability to pass and maintain CWB weld certifications
- Absolute attention to detail focusing on the task at hand
- Strong English communication skills
- Ability to work with moderate supervision in a team environment

Nice to have

- Training on overhead cranes, rigging, forklift and other safety training an asset
- Experience in a job shop manufacturing workplace

Shift

- Day Shift (1st) 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday




- Afternoon Shift (2nd) 3:00pm to 1:30pm Monday to Thursday

Wage

- $30 to $45 an hour
- Working in a large manufacturing/jobbing shop
- exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud > grinders, hammering, ohc moving around so employees have ear protection
- there are several welding stations

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Langley, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
