The Intermediate Hydrogeologist supports the delivery of hydrogeological, groundwater supply, contaminated sites, and resource-sector projects within MEMS' Water Resources Service Group. The role applies solid technical expertise and project execution skills to plan and conduct hydrogeological investigations, groundwater monitoring programs, aquifer testing, groundwater supply assessments, and contaminated site assessments across municipal, industrial, energy, and natural resource sectors.
Working with moderate independence, the Intermediate Hydrogeologist leads technical components of projects, including field program execution, data interpretation, conceptual site model development, hydrogeological assessments, and technical reporting. The position contributes to successful project delivery through effective management of scope, schedule, quality, and safety requirements while supporting positive client outcomes.
The successful candidate will have experience in one or more of groundwater supply, contaminated sites, oil and gas, mining, or environmental assessment projects. Experience with groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling, including MODFLOW, is considered a strong asset. The role also supports business growth through client relationship development, proposal preparation, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and mentoring of junior staff, while upholding MEMS' core values of Service, Quality, Trust, Innovation, and Teamwork.
Please note this position may be based out of our Sherwood Park or Calgary office.
