The Opportunity:

TheElectronic Technicianwill report directly to the Lead - Controls & Instrumentation. The primary function of this position is to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Sanjel Energy equipment and to provide support to field operations.

- Rotation - 10/4 (extensive travel required- up to 75%)
- Relocation support available for exceptional candidates
- Previous Oil and Gas Experience an asset (Cementing, Frac, Coil etc.)

General Responsibilities:

- Maintain and exceed Sanjel Energy's high standards concerning safety, quality, efficiency and communication
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in the district facilities and on location when required
- Be on call (rotational) for unscheduled shop and field repairs




- Support field operations on worksite for projects
- Troubleshoot electrical/electronic equipment using schematics
- Configure various data acquisition/PLC based systems and instrumentation (pressure, flow, density, and temperature)
- Perform calculations to determine calibration factors for various sensors
- Install and commission electrical/electronic/hydraulic/pneumatic controls and systems on Sanjel equipment
- Perform equipment updates and refurbishment
- Assist Engineering with the testing and release of new equipment and systems
- Mentor and train recent personnel (Technical and Operational)

Qualifications:

- Degree or Diploma in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation is Required
- General understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electronic and electrical systems and components
- Wiring, soldering and fabrication skills
