The Senior Business Analyst partners with senior leadership to evaluate and support the delivery of strategic business initiatives. Responsibilities

- Partner with senior leadership to support the planning, evaluation, and delivery of strategic business and technology initiatives
- Develop decision requests, information notes, and delivery plans to support executive and governance decision making




- Prepare concise business value assessments that clearly articulate the benefits and impacts of proposed technology changes for review and approval by senior leadership
- Lead end-to-end business analysis activities, including requirements planning, elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, and management
- Translate complex business needs into clear, well-defined business and system requirements that support organizational objectives
- Plan, conduct, and facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions, workshops, and consultations with business and technology teams to analyze, validate, and clarify requirements
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to contribute to high level solution design, business analytics (including data and reporting), and the development of test scenarios and plans
- Plan and deliver comprehensive walkthroughs, demonstrations, presentations, and knowledge sharing sessions to support implementation
- Provide leadership and guidance to Business Analysts, overseeing requirements activities across multiple concurrent projects.
- Coach and train team members within the division to support continuous improvement in business analysis practices
- Assist with production support activities, including issue triage, root cause analysis, impact assessment, and resolution coordination

Qualifications





- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years Business Analysis experience conducting complex business analysis business requirements and IT specifications
- Business area experience and/or background in insurance, finance or government programs an asset
- Subject matter expertise in Guidewire (PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter) an asset
- Experience working in scaled agile delivery (SAFe) an asset
- CCBA (Certification of Competency in Business Analysis) or CBAP (Certified Business Analyst Qualified) is an asset
- Agricorp program knowledge an asset
