Job Responsibility: What You'll Do; As a Receiver Sales Associate with Golf Town, you will share your in-depth knowledge and experience with customers and colleagues across our shop floor and stockroom. This exciting opportunity is to support our new store opening in Burnaby, British Columbia. Golf Town is a part of Sporting Life Group (SLG), and this new store will be located within our Sporting Life store at The Amazing Brentwood Mall. In this role, you will maximize sales by finding the right products, providing creative solutions to each customer using a win-win approach, and removing barriers to ensure exceptional service and an enhanced golf experience while ensuring the accurate and seamless reception and processing of incoming shipments. Customer Service

- Provide customers with the highest level of customer service, emphasizing courteous and knowledgeable assistance to every customer.
- Demonstrate the ability to listen to and solve customer issues.
- Understand and be knowledgeable about how to handle customer complaints.
- Be familiar with Company Customer Service policies (training provided)
- Answer department phones courteously in a timely manner.
- Address asset protection issues that may occur so that neither the company suffers a loss nor the customer experiences an uncomfortable situation.

Sales

- Sell merchandise at company-established prices and ensure discrepancies are addressed and authorized accordingly.
- Be familiar with golf apparel and accessories and suggestive selling of these essential items (training provided).
- Be familiar with product knowledge materials and vendor product lines.
- Knowledge of merchandise on the floor and in the backroom,



including verifying the current selling price.
- Keep up to date with all new product information.
- Be familiar with daily advertising and promotions to inform the customer accurately.
- Communicate to store management about any missed sales opportunities due to the absence of product.

Receiving

- Load and unload shipments regularly, with the capability of repetitive heavy lifting and using any necessary equipment, e.g. pump tuck.
- Inspection of incoming shipments to verify contents and quality.
- Processing of shipments into inventory system.
- Understand the impact of this position on other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of the timely flow of goods.
- Inventory management and handling negatives on-hands is critical.

Floor Stock and Display

- Ensure the store area is neatly arranged and meets retail standards (training provided).
- Maintain floor standards and customer service standards.
- Assist with proper merchandising execution to maximize sales and customer experience.
- Support developing floor standards and visual merchandising.
- Communicate any merchandise processing issues to the Manager on Duty.

What You'll Bring;

- 1-2 years of retail sales experience (golf retail an asset).




- An interest in the sport and be a recreational player or more.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong communication, both verbal and written.
- Ability to build and sustain relationships.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills-ability to adapt to meet a wide range of customer needs, ability to build rapport quickly.
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule.

Work Hours;

- Flex schedule - some weekends and evenings.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Pay Range;

- Between $19-$21 Per Hour (Dependent on Experience)
