Join our Newfoundland location as a Rebar Fabricator and Be Part of Something Bigger! Rebar Fabricators, bend, cut, bundle, and load reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customer orders. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

- Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor Rebar Fabrication's vision and values.
- This is an entry level position. Incumbent may operate any one of the following machines:
- Operate a shearing machine to cut reinforcing steel bars to specific lengths.
- Operate an overhead crane to move, assemble, and select material to be fabricated or shipped.
- Unload trailers and store materials in storage bins.
- Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping.
- Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner.
- Assist other employees in any of the above tasks.
- Inspect equipment and put safety at the forefront of all actions and decision making





Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Must have strong math skills to be able to calculate bar measurements
- High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands
- Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds, some heavy lifting may be necessary.
- Working conditions can be noisy/dusty/hot/cold/
- Outdoor shop, exposed to all elements.

Special Demands
- Work schedule: 7:30am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday
- Overtime hours may be required to accommodate operational demands (during peak seasons)
- Must be able to work any shift.
- Must become familiar with and adhere to shop safety policies and procedures.
