CDN is a full-service provider with expertise in Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance, renewables/solar, major projects, combustion & emissions reduction, and measurement. OT / Automation Specialist to join our growing Automation team. This position is ideal for a technically strong individual with a background in oilfield automation, industrial networking, firewall configuration, cybersecurity, SCADA systems, and PLC-based control systems.

The successful candidate will work on a variety of industrial automation and Operational Technology (OT) projects, including network infrastructure upgrades, OT cybersecurity remediation, SCADA modernization, industrial communications systems, and control system integration projects across oil and gas facilities, compressor stations, gas plants, terminals, pipelines, and water treatment facilities.

Operational Technology (OT) Networking

Design, configure, and troubleshoot industrial Ethernet networks.

Install and support managed industrial switches and routers.

Configure VLANs, routing, redundancy protocols, and network segmentation.

Support fiber optic and wireless communication systems.

Conduct network assessments and performance optimization.

Industrial Cybersecurity

Configure and maintain industrial firewalls.

Develop secure remote access solutions.

Assist with OT network segmentation and zone/conduit implementations.

Automation & Control Systems

Support PLC, RTU, and SCADA systems.

Troubleshoot communications between field equipment and host systems.

Configure industrial communication protocols including:

Assist with commissioning and startup of automation systems.

Support integration of instrumentation and field devices.

Commissioning and test procedures

~ University degree, college diploma, formal certification in Automation and Robotics or related field and typically 7 or more years of hands-on automation experience in the Oil & Gas industry; Electrical/Electronic or Instrument Certification.

Experience with control and automation system design of oil and gas facilities.

Experience with control and automation systems with high level of experience with Allen Bradley PLC systems, RS Logix and numerous software’s.

Possess the ability to execute control system integration on multiple complex projects with a high level of customer satisfaction.

Understand complex controls systems and be able to identify potential areas of improvement.

Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, with experience in Microsoft Projects.

Valid class 5 with a clean Drivers Abstract.

Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol Testing.

ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Training

Rockwell Automation Certifications

Experience with OT Cybersecurity remediation projects
