The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in setting the vision and policy direction of the workers' compensation system, overseeing the organization, and ensuring accountability for results. This leadership position requires a strong partnership with the CEO, fostering collaboration among Board members, and leading the Board in navigating complex issues to reach collective decisions. The ideal Chair will have a background in senior leadership and governance, with a proven track record of effective Board-level contribution, particularly in a complex, regulated, public-interest,



or multi-stakeholder environment.Applicants for the Chair position should possess robust strategic judgment, an understanding of organizational performance, financial stewardship, and risk and reputation management. The role demands the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including the CEO, Board members, government, and the public. Experience in governance education or a related designation is an asset, as is knowledge of workers' compensation, occupational health and safety, insurance, or other legislated systems.
