The Underwriter, Residential Mortgage will report to Senior Manager, Residential Mortgage, and assist in residential mortgage underwriting and relevant operational activities.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Prepare reports, files and documents in support of the Residential Underwriting team function
- Review residential mortgage applications: perform credit assessment, communicate with branch/relationship managers and prepare analysis opinion
- Review and analyze appraisal reports
- Recommend decision on residential mortgage applications to approval authority
- Review and request approval for registration of recent appraisal company or mortgage brokerage
