This role provides dedicated financial and statistical information, analysis and strategic problem solving to both clinical and non-clinical teams throughout the organization, to assist in making financial decisions.

Excellence is measured by meeting time requirements and overall accuracy of financial data within the framework of established WH financial practices and CPA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities Include:



• Participating in full cycle accounting process and account reconciliations • Establishing program budgets and variance analysis of financial results • Completion of mandatory reporting as required by the Ministry of Health and other funding sources • Management of capital asset tracking • Analysis of investment accounts for accounting and reporting • Gathering accurate statistic data as required for analysis and reporting • Participation in annual audit Qualifications • Undergraduate degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance • CPA designation or working towards • Minimum 3-5 years of full cycle accounting experience, hospital experience preferred • Knowledge of Ontario Hospital Reporting Standards level 1 and 2 preferred • Experience working in an integrated financial/enterprise resource planning (ERP) software system an asset • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Experience in interacting with various levels of staff members • Ability to prioritize workload in a rapid-paced environment with frequently changing priorities • Tactful, innovative, and self-motivated • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office products, with expert level Excel skills is required to complete necessary tasks • Satisfactory Attendance for internal applicants •
