We are looking for an experienced finance leader to join our team in Toronto, Ontario on a 3-mon Contract basis, as a Director of Finance.

This role will provide strategic financial oversight, support sound decision-making, and help ensure strong stewardship of funding within a public sector environment.

The successful candidate will bring senior-level leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build productive relationships across internal teams, government stakeholders, and external partners.

Responsibilities: • Lead the finance function by overseeing accounting operations, financial controls, and the delivery of accurate financial information to support organizational objectives. • Direct the planning cycle for annual budgets, forecasts, and ongoing financial analysis to guide operational and strategic decision-making. • Prepare and present timely financial reports for leadership, board-level audiences, funders, and other key stakeholders,



ensuring compliance with reporting obligations. • Provide oversight for funding-related financial management within a public sector setting, including alignment with Ministry of Health and Ontario Health requirements. • Strengthen organizational practices related to procurement, risk management, and corporate services by offering financial leadership and informed recommendations. • Partner with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate financial impacts, support decision support activities, and address ad hoc financial and accounting needs. • Foster robust working relationships with external agencies, government representatives, and funding bodies while serving as a trusted financial advisor. • Lead, coach, and support finance staff and cross-functional teams through priorities that enhance accountability, collaboration, and organizational effectiveness.
