We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturing and distribution company in Hamilton, for an experiencedTool & Cutter Grinder . Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate tool and cutter grinding machines to sharpen, repair, and manufacture cutting tools
Inspect tools and components to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges,
and other measuring instruments
Troubleshoot tooling issues and recommend corrective actions
Maintain grinding equipment and ensure proper machine operation
Adhere to workplace health and safety procedures and company policies
Keep accurate production and maintenance records as required
Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Experience using precision measuring instruments
Solid mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CNC tool grinding equipment
Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse-support setting
