Lead community growth as the Director of Development Services for the Township of Esquimalt. This role seeks a agile leader to guide planning and development initiatives.Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, you will shape community growth through impactful development projects and long-term planning. With a minimum of 7 years in senior development management, you will influence housing, land use, and environmental policies while fostering community engagement. Your leadership will help bring council priorities to life in a welcoming and team-oriented setting.Key Responsibilities:
Oversee transformative development projects for the community
Guide long-term housing and land use planning initiatives
Facilitate community engagement and stakeholder collaboration




Advise on complex planning matters with political acumen
Ensure alignment with organizational goals and community needsRequirements:
Postgraduate degree in Planning or related field
7+ years of municipal development management experience
Class 5 BC driver’s license required
Eligible for membership in Canadian Institute of Planners
