St. Thomas Aquinas Roman (STAR) Catholic Schools is a agile urban and rural school division, serving over 5,000 students and nearly 500 staff across 12 schools in Beaumont, Drayton Valley, Leduc, Lacombe, Ponoka, and Wetaskiwin. We are seeking applicants for an additional full time Payroll Administrator based at the division office in Leduc, Alberta commencing as soon as possible or a mutually agreed upon date. Reporting to the Finance Manager, duties include:
Prepare, process, reconcile and distribute all employee group payrolls
Prepare payroll related reports and forms as required
Track vacation entitlements
Process and report on Teacher and Support Pension Plans
Prepare and distribute annual payroll reporting including balancing and preparing T4s
Prepare necessary payroll accruals and monthly remittances




Prepare Records of Employment
Compile annual WCB reporting
Other duties as required

Qualifications include:
Payroll Compliance Qualified (PCP) designation is considered an asset.
Minimum 2 years working experience in a Payroll Administrator Role

Salary will be commensurate with experience. St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Schools offers a comprehensive benefit plan.

This is a Probationary Full-Time (Mon-Friday 8am - 4pm) position and will be situated at our Division Office. Employment is conditional upon the submission of a recent (within six months) Criminal Record Check, including the Vulnerable Sector Check, as well as a recent (within 6 months)Alberta Children's Intervention Record Check.
