We are currently recruiting for a Casual Heavy Cleaner to work evenings between 5:00pm to 12:00am (On-Call Shifts).
Reporting to the Cleaning Supervisor, the Heavy Cleaner is primarily responsible for the general cleaning of designated areas such as classrooms, offices, washrooms, change-rooms, hallways, other rooms, and using equipment for wax stripping, re-sealing, re-waxing, and buffing of floors.
Responsibilities: Dusting furniture and walls
Garbage removal
vacuuming and mopping
Assisting in snow removal
Assisting in late night event cleaning
Carrying a cell phone for emergency and alarm monitoring situations
Assisting maintenance
Qualifications: Experience using floor machines
Experience Stripping and Waxing Floors
Understanding of WHMIS and Health and Safety
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Customer Service when supporting external events and campus functions




Ability to pass a Criminal Background Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening
$26.82 per hour after 3 month probationary period
