About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Human Capital to build and lead its human resources function through a period of growth. This hands-on role will establish HR policies, processes, systems, and reporting while personally managing employee relations, onboarding, administration, compliance, and recruitment support. The successful candidate will develop a human capital strategy aligned with business goals, advise senior leaders, and guide workforce planning, talent development, compensation, performance management, and employee engagement. They will also support expansion into the United States, strengthen organizational culture, and build an HR team as the organization scales.
Candidates must hold a CPHR designation and have at least 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including experience building or significantly scaling an HR function. Strong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation is required; familiarity with U.S. employment law is an asset. Broad expertise across employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation, perks, performance management, organizational development, and workforce planning is essential. Experience in manufacturing or another operationally focused environment, along with strong business acumen, communication, and relationship-building skills, is preferred. The ideal candidate combines strategic leadership with a practical, solutions-oriented approach and is comfortable working hands-on in a fast-growing organization.
