High School Business Foundations & Artificial Intelligence Teacher
STEM Innovation Academy is seeking a full-time teacher for its high school STEM options program, working with students in Grades 10–12. The high school campus is located at 3636 Research Road NW, Calgary, Alberta.

Responsibilities

Teach business foundations and artificial intelligence concepts through case studies, inquiry, and applied projects.

Guide students in exploring entrepreneurship, business operations, finance, economics, and emerging technologies.

Help students examine dataset bias and responsible AI principles, including fairness, transparency, privacy, and security.

Support student projects and entrepreneurial ventures, personalize learning,



and assess progress against learning outcomes.

Build supportive classroom relationships and foster critical thinking, ethical decision-making, collaboration, and communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Education degree or equivalent recognized by Alberta Education. A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate is preferred but not required.

Knowledge or relevant experience in artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, business, or economics; industry experience is valued but not required.

Ability to engage and support adolescents and willingness to develop subject expertise and keep pace with emerging technologies and business practices.
