Join the Waterloo Region District School Board as Before and After School Support (B.A.S.S.) staff. Work collaboratively with a Designated Early Childhood Educator to enhance the play-based learning experience for students in junior kindergarten to grade 6.

This long-term occasional position focuses on fostering positive interactions among children, parents, and staff within the Before and After School program. You'll support children's exploration and self-regulation in a protected, inclusive environment. Your role emphasizes communication with parents and adherence to licensing standards while cultivating an anti-oppressive culture.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist DECE in managing extended day classrooms
• Facilitate positive interactions among students and families




• Support child-initiated activities and play
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and licensing standards
• Communicate effectively with parents about children’s progress

Requirements:
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• Experience supervising and supporting children
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check
• Commitment to an inclusive environment
