Business Development Specialist — Realtor & Mortgage Broker Partnerships
Company: Canada’s Help
Location: Remote — Canada
Compensation: Commission only | No base salary | Uncapped commission
About Canada’s Help
Canada’s Help is a marketing consulting firm that bridges the gaps between lawyers, mortgage brokers, clients, contractors, and real estate agents. We connect professional relationships, client needs, and service providers through coordinated communication and support.
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Business Development Specialist to grow our Realtor Advantage Program and mortgage broker partnerships across Canada.
This is an intrapreneurial opportunity to build your own book of business within Canada’s Help. Working from home, you’ll actively recruit partners, manage incoming inquiries, lead onboarding and training, retain relationships, and close client service agreements.
You’ll serve as the central point of contact connecting our professional partners, clients, contractors, and service teams.
Your primary focus will be generating business through real estate agents, mortgage brokers, and brokerages. You may also choose to introduce our Sale Ready Program and Home Equity Leverage Program directly to individual clients, although professional partnerships are expected to generate the greater share of ongoing opportunities.
Programs and Partnerships
- Realtor Advantage Program: Help agents support clients beyond the property transaction through renovation, property assistance, accessibility, and home-care services, while developing additional earning opportunities under agreed program terms.
- Mortgage Broker Partnerships: “You manage the mortgage. We help manage what comes next.” Help brokers introduce renovation and property support under the Canada’s Help name. Our team coordinates the service conversation and delivery, allowing brokers to strengthen client relationships while maintaining their focus on financing.
- Sale Ready Program and Home Equity Leverage Program: Optional opportunities to work directly with individual clients, explain available services, coordinate with professional partners, and close Canada’s Help service agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit real estate agents, mortgage brokers, and brokerages across Canada.
- Develop relationships with lawyers, contractors, and other professional partners.
- Initiate telephone conversations with recent prospects, present our programs, and secure partnership opportunities.
- Manage incoming inquiries and a high volume of prospect and client conversations.
- Onboard and train partners to identify client needs and introduce Canada’s Help services.
- Negotiate individual partnership and commission arrangements within the company’s agreed framework.
- Retain partners through regular communication, follow-up, training, and support.
- Coordinate communication between partners, clients, contractors, and service teams.
- Present service solutions, handle objections, and negotiate and close client service agreements.
- Pursue direct client opportunities for the Sale Ready Program and Home Equity Leverage Program if you choose.
- Track outreach, onboarding, referrals, partner engagement, and sales activity.
Required Qualifications
- Previous business development experience, with demonstrated success generating opportunities and closing business.
- Experience conducting outbound telephone outreach to multiple prospects and clients.
- Confidence initiating conversations with contacts who have not previously expressed interest.
- Strong presentation,
negotiation, objection-handling, and closing skills.
- Ability to onboard, train, support, and retain professional partners.
- Strong organization, consistent follow-up, and the ability to manage multiple opportunities independently.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work effectively from home.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with real estate agents, mortgage brokers, brokerages, lawyers, or contractors.
- Experience developing referral networks or managing professional partnerships.
- Home renovation project management experience, including contractor coordination, client communication, and oversight of timelines and budgets.
Compensation and Opportunity
This is a commission-only position with no base salary.
Build your earning opportunities through partner recruitment, onboarding, business generated by your partner network, and eligible direct client opportunities.
You’ll have flexibility to negotiate individual arrangements with the agents, brokers, and brokerages you sign, within Canada’s Help’s agreed commission framework. Commission rates, qualifying activities, and payment timing will be outlined in your compensation agreement.
No Real Estate or Mortgage Broker Licence Required
This role focuses on business development, service partnerships, program introductions, and Canada’s Help service agreements. It does not involve representing buyers or sellers in property transactions, providing mortgage or legal advice, or arranging mortgages. These activities remain with appropriately licensed professionals.
How to Apply
Submit your résumé and a brief introduction highlighting your business development experience, telephone outreach skills, and success building partnerships or closing deals. Include any relevant home renovation project management experience.
- Uncapped commission — there is no cap on the commission you can earn.
