Operating out of three locations, RCHC offers core services that include primary health care, health promotion, community development programs, Pathways to Education, and the Diabetes Education Centre.
This project is a collaboration between the United Nations Association in Canada (UNAC) and Rexdale Community Health Centre to design and implement the Building Opportunities for Youth in Rexdale (BOYR) project, aimed at supporting youth through community-based programming, skills development, and engagement opportunities. As part of BOYR, UNAC is seeking a proactive, youth-focused Youth Employment & Job Readiness Facilitator to help participants explore employment opportunities, develop practical job-search skills and connect with employers. The facilitator will support approximately 12–14 youth annually in accessing meaningful employment opportunities and navigating the transition into the workforce.
Position Summary The Youth Employment & Job Readiness Facilitator will provide practical, individualized employment support, combining job-readiness coaching with active employer outreach and employment opportunity development. The successful candidate will help youth identify suitable jobs, prepare applications, practise interviews and understand workplace expectations. A key responsibility will be to proactively identify and contact local employers, develop relationships and facilitate connections that can lead to interviews and employment for BOYR participants.
Given that many participants are 16–17 years old and may have limited access to transportation, priority will be given to employment opportunities in Rexdale and nearby communities that youth can reasonably access
