Full job description We are currently recruiting for a Personal Support Worker to assist an individual with an Acquired Brain Injury to provide personal care and assistance with all activities of daily living; The individual is high functioning and ambulates with a walker. Someone with a bubbly personality would be perfect for this position. Location: -Nanaimo, BC Casual Shifts & Hours of Work: -Saturday and Sunday -9:00am to 5:00pm -On Call/Casual for weekday shifts from 9:00am to 5:00pm -Potential to transition to full time Compensation: -$29.00 per hour Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to): -Cueing and direction through all activities of daily living -Taking the individual out into the community -Range of motion exercises Required Qualifications:



-Class 5 or 4 driver's license and personal vehicle -Clean driver's abstract -Registered Care Aide/Health Care Aide -Valid First Aid Certificate -Experience supporting individuals with Acquired Brain Injury and Mental Health Required -Willingness to be trained -Must be a non-smoker/non-vaper -Must have no history of injuries and be in valuable health -Must live in Nanaimo, BC Application question(s): -Have you completed the Health Care Assistant program? -Yes or No - Are you comfortable assisting an individual with personal care (bathing, assisting someone to clean up after a bowel movement routine, grooming, feeding, light housekeeping, meal prep, etc)?
