ArkTon Steel is seeking experienced Journeyman Fitter/Welders to join our team. Successful candidates will be responsible for fitting and welding structural steel components while maintaining high standards of safety and quality in our shop environment.

Indoor Work Workplace: Work primarily indoors in a clean, safe, and well-organized shop environment.

Qualifications & Key Responsibilities

- Journeyman Certificate
- Safety-focused and dependable
- Ability to work with and follow QC/QA procedures
- Read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications
- Fit and weld metal components to CWB Standards using GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW processes
- Perform “pre and post” welding inspections
- Ensure finished welds meet quality standards and specifications
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of the following skills and qualifications:

- 3+ years of Fabrication Experience
- Journeyman Welder Certification
- Registered Welding Apprentice
