Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Metal Forming Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in a newly created position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating plate rolling and metal-forming machinery to bend, roll, shape, and straighten stainless steel and other metals according to technical drawings and production specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate plate rolling machines and other metal-forming equipment.
- Adjust machine settings to achieve required shapes, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production specifications.
- Measure, mark, prepare, and position materials for forming operations.
- Inspect finished components to ensure accuracy and quality standards.
- Operate saws, grinders, drills, and bevelling equipment as required.
- Safely handle materials using appropriate lifting and handling equipment.
- Perform routine machine cleaning, adjustments, and basic maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area while following company safety procedures.




- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Previous experience operating plate rolling or other metal-forming machinery.
- Experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of metal-forming processes and machine setup.
- Experience working with stainless steel is an asset.
- Familiarity with measuring tools and dimensional accuracy.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and stand for extended periods.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety.

Work Environment

Manufacturing and metal fabrication environment involving heavy machinery, noise, and physical activity. Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.

Please note: This position is currently based in Mississauga, Ontario, with an upcoming relocation to Vaughan, Ontario.
