Job description:

R&W; Metal Fabricating and Design Inc. is hiring multiple Production Labourers to join our manufacturing team in Paris, Ontario.

This is a full-time, permanent position with straight day shift. Our Production Labourers support a variety of manufacturing and assembly operations throughout our facility. Duties may vary based on experience, skills and production requirements.

We are looking for dependable individuals who are comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, take pride in producing quality work and work safely as part of a team.

Previous manufacturing experience is an asset, but we are willing to train candidates who demonstrate the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.

Day Shift: Monday–Thursday 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; Friday 7:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

What You'll Do

Depending on your skills and experience, responsibilities may include:

- Use hand and power tools to assemble components onto finished steel products
- Assemble and disassemble products using hand and power tools
- Grind, clean and inspect steel parts using portable hand grinders
- Load, unload and handle steel components manually or with material-handling equipment
- Operate basic metal fabrication equipment such as drill presses, ironworkers and brake presses
- Cut and prepare plywood and other materials using shop equipment
- Install fastening hardware including nuts, bolts, washers, screws and rivets
- Assist with spray-booth painting and preparation of finished products
- Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Meet production requirements while maintaining quality and safety standards

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred but not required
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, compressed-air tools or portable hand grinders is an asset




- Experience with fabrication equipment such as drill presses, shears, ironworkers or brake presses is an asset
- Familiarity with common fastening hardware is an asset
- Robust attendance and reliability
- Ability to follow instructions and established work procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision when required
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong attention to quality and detail
- Commitment to following workplace health and safety requirements
- Willingness to learn new equipment, processes and job duties

Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding manufacturing position. Employees must be able to:

- Standing for extended periods during the shift
- Frequent bending, reaching, turning, lifting, carrying and pulling
- Frequent material handling, including lifting and moving components weighing up to and occasionally in excess of 50 lbs., with lifting equipment or assistance used where appropriate
- Wearing required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves and CSA-approved safety footwear
- Safely perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift
