Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety Coordinator to oversee and enhance safety protocols within our Company. This role is vital in ensuring a safe working environment for all employees, maintaining compliance with industry standards, and fostering a culture of safety awareness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing safety practices and be committed to training and development initiatives that promote continuous improvement. This position offers an opportunity to lead safety efforts, implement effective training programs, and contribute to the overall well-being of our workforce. Candidates must be working towards their CRSP and those who hold their CRSP designation will qualify for salary over and above the hourly wage listed.

Duties

- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive health and safety policies aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections across all departments to identify potential hazards.
- Lead incident investigations to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate safety training sessions and workshops to educate employees on best practices and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with management to integrate safety considerations into operational procedures and process improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training activities,



and compliance documentation.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, emerging safety trends, and new technologies to continuously improve safety standards.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness through communication campaigns, meetings, and employee engagement initiatives.

Experience & Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in developing and delivering effective training & development programs related to health and safety.
- Familiarity with OH&S; regulations, industry standards, and best practices for workplace safety.
- Prior experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence positive change across diverse teams.
- Excellent communication skills for training delivery, reporting, and collaboration with management. This role is essential for maintaining a safe workplace environment while supporting the company’s commitment to operational excellence. The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about fostering a culture of continuous safety improvement.

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 44 per week
