Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Worker (DSW) to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. As a DSW, you will provide personalized care, support independence, and promote well-being for clients across various care settings. This role offers an prospect to work closely with individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with disabilities, and individuals receiving hospice or dementia care. Responsibilities

- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Support meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition tailored to individual needs
- Help with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a hygienic environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support to foster positive relationships
- Assist with transfers, heavy lifting, and other mobility-related tasks safely




- Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding client status

Skills

- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly desirable
- Strong background in patient care, senior care, or home care environments
- Knowledge of dementia care, hospice care, and working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical demands of caregiving tasks
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and families
- Compassionate attitude coupled with patience and empathy
- Ability to follow detailed instructions for medication administration and care plans
