Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and personable Server to join our fine dining Chinese restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a memorable dining experience for our guests. This role requires a strong understanding of food handling, hospitality, and efficient service in a fast-paced workplace. Prior restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are preferred. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, upselling menu items, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining area.

Responsibilities

- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, courteous service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, and food safety standards
- Ensure sanitation and cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with health regulations
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth operations




- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction

Qualifications

- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred, especially in fine dining or Chinese cuisine settings
- Familiarity with POS system is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols in the food industry
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Basic math skills for billing, cashiering, and transaction accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Hospitality-oriented mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction and upselling techniques
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed

Pay: Up to $17.95 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
