The A.D.E.R.I.Y.E Project Foundation is seeking motivated and community minded individuals to join The Learning Link as Volunteer Tutors. This is an excellent opportunity for high school students, post-secondary students, and aspiring educators looking to gain hands on experience supporting youth in an academic setting.
Volunteer Tutors will help create a positive and supportive environment where youth can complete homework, build confidence, and strengthen their academic skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist youth with homework and school assignments
- Support students in subjects such as Math, English, Science, and general study skills
- Work alongside the Lead Academic Tutor and Program Assistant
- Encourage youth participation and engagement
- Provide 4 hours online and 1 hour in person of online tutoring
- Support monthly workshops and special activities
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning setting
- Participate in program orientation and training
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working with youth ages 5–17
- Reliable, professional, and team oriented
- Passion for education, mentorship, and community impact
- Previous tutoring or volunteer experience is an asset but not required
