Position Overview

As an Emergency Room Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and prioritize care according to acuity.
- Provide emergency nursing interventions, treatments, and ongoing monitoring.




- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with orders, policies, and nursing standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Support patient stabilization, emergency procedures, and safe transitions of care.
- Deliver compassionate, culturally safe, patient-centred care.
- Follow infection prevention, workplace safety, and facility protocols.

Qualifications

- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Recent Emergency Department (ER) nursing experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, as required by the assignment.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
- Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) training or certification, as required by the assignment.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, triage, and emergency response skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
- Ability to provide professional references.

Mandatory Requirements

Successful candidates must provide:

- Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) completed within the last 12 months.




- Tuberculosis (TB) testing completed within the last 12 months.
- Proof of current CNO registration and required certifications.
- Any additional occupational health documentation required by the assigned facility.
