We are looking for an experienced Sanding Technician to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience sanding natural wood veneers, solid wood, and custom millwork components in preparation for high-quality finishing.

Key Responsibilities

- Sand natural wood veneers, including white oak, walnut, and other specialty species.
- Prepare veneered panels, cabinetry, doors, and custom millwork components for staining, painting, and clear finishing.
- Operate orbital sanders, hand sanding equipment, and other professional sanding tools.
- Understand different veneer thicknesses and proper sanding techniques to prevent sanding through the veneer.
- Identify and correct surface imperfections, glue residue, scratches, and other defects.
- Follow proper sanding sequences and grit progression to achieve consistent surface quality.
- Maintain consistent sanding quality across large veneered panels and sequenced veneer installations.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets our high finishing standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work setting.

Qualifications





- Previous professional sanding experience is mandatory.
- Proven experience sanding natural wood veneer is mandatory.
- Experience working in a custom millwork, cabinetry, furniture, or wood-finishing facility.
- Strong understanding of wood grain, veneer characteristics, and sanding techniques.
- Ability to operate professional sanding equipment safely and effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Experience preparing surfaces for high-end stains, clear coats, and specialty finishes is an asset.

This is not an entry-level position. We require candidates with practical experience sanding real wood veneer and preparing high-end architectural millwork for finishing.
