Accounts Receivable SpecialistAbout the Role

We are looking for a dependable, organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to support the day-to-day billing and payment activities of our busy auto body shop. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with customers, insurance-related payments, records, and shop paperwork.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable using computer systems, and able to follow up professionally on open balances. Auto body shop experience is highly valued.

Responsibilities

- Process, post, and record customer, insurance, and other incoming payments accurately and on time
- Maintain current accounts receivable records and match payments to the correct repair orders or customer accounts
- Review account balances, identify discrepancies, and assist with account reconciliation
- Follow up with customers, insurance companies, and other payers regarding outstanding balances or missing information
- Handle payment questions with patience and skilled phone etiquette
- Enter and update billing and payment information in BodyShopConnect or a similar auto body shop management system
- Prepare basic reports and provide updates on unpaid or aging accounts




- Work with the shop team to resolve billing issues and keep paperwork organized
- Assist with basic bookkeeping and related administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

- Previous experience in accounts receivable, billing, payment processing, bookkeeping, or a similar administrative role
- Experience with BodyShopConnect or another collision repair/body shop management system strongly preferred
- Comfortable using accounting or office software; experience with QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft is a plus
- Good data entry, organization, and basic math skills
- Able to review account information carefully and spot errors or missing details
- Professional communication skills and confidence speaking with customers by phone
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage routine follow-up in a fast-paced shop environment
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 42.5 per week
