Hey, my name's Eric and I'm looking to train an apprentice within my painting business. This will be a long-term role for someone who wants to spend the next several years learning about the painting/decorating trade.
I'll be teaching you everything you'll need to know for the job. During the first two weeks, you'll be paid 20/hr, and after that you will immediately be bumped up to 22/hr. As more skills are learned, the pay will increase. A proficient employee at the end of a 3 year apprenticeship will earn 28-30/ hr.
Other benefits include:
- Flexible hours (can take weekdays off instead of weekends, or work 4 10-hour days as opposed to 5 8-hour days)
- Outdoor manual labor - if you like working with your hands and getting your daily steps in at work, this is a great fit. Nothing unsafe will be required, just a steady attitude and reliability.
- Qualified but relaxed working environment
- Learning plenty of skills related to painting and decorating
The right candidate should:
- Be comfortable with physical work
- Have their own vehicle/mode of transport
- Be comfortable working at heights <30ft (training paid/provided)
If you're interested in an interview, please feel free to submit your resume. I look forward to hearing from you! The best way to apply is to email me at:
