Job and Firm Description

We are seeking an Financial Reporting Associate on a full-time basis to join our team in Port Moody (Suter Brook Village, minutes from Inlet Skytrain). The role supports our Public Company division (Fractional CFO and Financial Reporting Consulting services), and our Full-Cycle Accounting division (private company full-cycle bookkeeping payables and receivables cycles).

This is NOT a CPA or CPA student position.

This position offers an annual salary starting at $65,000, depending on prior experience.

· Is experienced with period end close processes, working paper preparation, financial statement preparation, and familiar with continuous disclosure requirements of reporting issuers on Canadian stock exchanges (familiarity with junior resource exploration companies is an asset).

Responsibilities and Expectations

· Preparation and review of quarterly accounting working papers,



and preparation of period end recurring journal entries and accruals.

· Assembly and review of client prepared working papers with CaseWare Working Papers software.

· Preparation of quarterly/semi-annual/annual IFRS financial statements and Management’s Discussion & Analysis (MD&A;).

· Liaison with external auditors during annual financial statement audits.

· Month end close full-cycle duties (receivables and payments cycles).

· Other bookkeeping and accounting cycle involvement with clients of the firm, as required.

Requirements and Qualifications:

· Accounting experience in Canada.

· Experience with QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online).

· Proficiency with Adobe and the core Microsoft Office applications, including Excel

· Experience with publicly traded companies on Canadian stock exchanges (CSE, TSX-V), preferably with junior resource exploration stage companies, is an asset.

· Experience in audit/assurance, is an asset
