Wasaga Beach
At Creative Closets, we specialize in transforming homes across Grey, Simcoe, Muskoka, and surrounding counties with custom-built closet organizers, walk-in closets, pantries, mudrooms, built-in wall units, and home office cabinetry. We're looking for ONE (1) CABINET INSTALLER HELPER to join our team and grow into a skilled installer role.
Who We're Looking For:
This role is for you if:
- You take pride in your work and have a keen eye for detail. Quality and craftsmanship are never compromised.
- You're comfortable working in clients' homes and understand the importance of treating every space with care and respect.
- You're punctual and reliable. Showing up on time means being ready to work 15 minutes early, every day.
- You have a great attitude and thrive as part of a small, close-knit team, but you're also able to take initiative when needed.
- You're coachable and eager to learn. No prior cabinetry experience required — a willingness to work hard and develop your skills is what matters most.
- You take satisfaction in seeing a project through from start to finish and leaving a space better than you found it.
Why Work With Us?
- Stable Schedule: Enjoy a consistent Monday to Friday schedule with no weekends, giving you time to recharge and spend with family and friends.
- Team Culture: Join a supportive, family-run team that values hard work, respect, and a job done right.
- Real Growth Path: This is a helper role with a clear roadmap. Learn the trade, prove yourself, and grow into a full installer position as the business expands.
- Quality Work: Take pride in building and installing products that are Canadian-made and backed by a lifetime warranty.
- Variety: Every project is different.
No two homes, no two installs are the same.
- Local & Reputable: We're a trusted name across the region with a reputation built on craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
The Role – What You'll Be Doing:
As an Installer Helper, you'll support the full install process from shop to job site. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Shop Prep: Prepping materials, organizing components, and loading product ahead of installs so the team hits the ground running on site.
- Shop Maintenance: Keeping the shop clean, organized, and running efficiently day to day.
- Pre-Install Work: Patching drywall, painting, and prepping surfaces in clients' homes before cabinetry goes in.
- On-Site Assistance: Supporting our lead installer with assembly, hardware, and finishing work on site.
- Maintaining Cleanliness and Professionalism: Keeping both the shop and job sites clean, organized, and hazard-free. We work in people's homes and that standard matters.
What We Expect From You:
- Punctuality and Reliability: A commitment to showing up on time, every time, ready to work.
- Positive Attitude: A great attitude toward the team, our clients, and the work itself.
- Coachability: A genuine desire to learn the trade and take feedback constructively.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to work full days on-site and in the shop,
including lifting, kneeling, and working in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: A focus on fit, finish, and quality in everything you do.
- Valid Driver's Licence: Required for travel between the shop and job sites across our service area.
Bonuses – Stand Out From the Crowd:
While not required, the following will make you a top candidate:
- Drywall or Painting Experience: Comfort with basic patching, priming, and painting is a big asset in this role.
- Carpentry or Assembly Experience: Any hands-on woodworking, furniture assembly, or cabinetry background is a plus.
- Tool Proficiency: Comfort using drills, levels, and hand tools in a professional setting.
- Customer-Facing Experience: We work directly in clients' homes. The ability to communicate professionally and leave a great impression matters.
