Mac's Traders Inc. is a family-owned and operated Scrap Metal Recycling facility located in Langley. We are seeking to hire a strong, reliable, energetic, and self-motivated individual to join our team in a multi-faceted role. Official mechanical education is not required. The ideal applicant would, at a minimum, have general mechanical and equipment knowledge with interest and willingness to learn.

The position wage is $35/hr. Shift hours of Monday-Friday, 8am to 4pm with overtime opportunity once established. We are also open to considering and discussing part-time work hours depending on the applicant.

**Please note this work is primarily conducted outdoors, rain or shine, all year round**

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Performing mechanical maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment, such as but not limited to, roll off trucks, roll off bins, tote bins, forklifts, skid steers, trailers and compactors

· Use of tools such as, but not limited to, welder, grinder, chop saw, band saw, pressure washer, paint sprayer

· Assist with repair damaged unit/bins/equipment

· Assist in loading, unloading, and general movement of various steel materials

· Workplace cleanliness

· Quality control/assurance

· Safety from start to finish

REQUIREMENTS:

· Mechanically inclined with interest in mechanical maintenance

· Capable of independent work

· Solid work ethic

· Ability to follow direction while left unsupervised

· Fit and capable of lifting a minimum of 50lbs





· Ability to kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach above and below waist.

· Driver’s license and own personal vehicle

· Outward thinking and creativity

· Steel toed boots

· Fluent in both verbal and written English

· Good teamwork and communication skills

· Compliance with all company policies

· Punctual, consistent attendance
